Boise, Idaho -- Broncos head coach Chris Petersen isn't selling his Fiesta Bowl opponent short -- not by a long shot.
The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs have been dominating every team they've faced recently. They're a much improved team from last year and finished at in the top four, depending on the poll you look at.
Petersen said there is no question that TCU is for real and they're favored to win for a reason.
"Everybody's talking about these guys, maybe playing in a national championship game. And you know, I hadn't seen them since last year. And then I put the tape on and I'm kinda' saying' okay. I see where everybody is coming from on this one," said Petersen.
It's not as if Boise State hasn't faced titans of the college football world before. They have, and with a fair amount of success.
Until this point, the Bronco armada has been steaming full speed ahead. But when they face TCU in the Fiesta Bowl they will be sailing in uncharted waters.
"We've played some teams that have been ranked high early in the season, but we all know, 'What does that mean?' Usually not a lot. I mean it's going to be a good team, but I mean when you get late into the season and you're playing the third-ranked team in the country, I think that means something," said Petersen.
Currently TCU is favored by 7 points over the Broncos in their Jan. 4 meeting in Glendale, Ariz., which gives all of us fans and sports analysts plenty or time to squabble about who will wind up the victor in the Fiesta Bowl.
