Eagle, Idaho -- A wildfire, believed to be caused by lightning, forced the evacuation of homes in the foothills northwest of Eagle, Idaho.
While there are no reported injuries, three homes and a barn were lost in the blaze. Windy conditions kept the fire burning and shifting in unpredictable directions.
Initially 400 acres were reported burning with estimates that the fire burned more than 2,500 acres.
Over 50 fire crews were fighting the fire and the Bureau of Land Management launched an aerial assault with five air tankers and two helicopters.
