The Treasure Valley has always been my home. I was born and raised in Boise, and can't imagine living anywhere but Idaho.
My role at Fox 12 has morphed and changed immensely since I first started as a producer in July 2001. After working behind the scenes on the News at Nine for several months, I soon found myself in front of the camera as a reporter. It was a role that came naturally to me, after spending more than two years cutting my teeth in the news business at KMVT in Twin Falls. Before that, I earned a degree in Visual Communication from the University of Idaho.
Now my days consist of pounding the keyboard in the newsroom, writing much of our 9 p.m. newscast. Evenings, of course, are spent on the air, delivering the News at Nine. It's a job I take seriously because Boise is my home. For that reason, I can't help but feel a personal connection and responsibility to the viewing audience.
Outside the newsroom, I'm a busy wife and mom who loves to ski, cook, knit, read and dream of a faraway vacation.
