Three Idaho Soldiers Killed, Two Injured, In IED Attack In Iraq

Karmah, Iraq -- Three Soldiers of the 321^st Engineer Battalion (Corps)(Combat)(Mechanized), headquartered in Boise, Idaho, were killed in an improvised explosive device attack on their vehicle in Karmah, Al Anbar province, Iraq, yesterday. Two were injured. Names of those killed and injured are forthcoming.

The 321^st Engineer Battalion (Corps)(Combat)(Mechanized) is a subordinate unit of the 70^th Regional Readiness Command in Seattle, Wash. The 321^st Engineer Battalion has companies in Boise and Haden, Idaho, and one in Ogden, Utah. The 321^st's mission is to conduct route clearance, which consists of hunting for improvised explosive devices.
