
Karmah, Iraq -- Three Soldiers of the 321st Engineer Battalion (Corps)(Combat)(Mechanized), headquartered in Boise, Idaho, were killed in an improvised explosive device attack on their vehicle in Karmah, Al Anbar province, Iraq, yesterday. Two were injured. Names of those killed and injured are forthcoming.
The 321st Engineer Battalion (Corps)(Combat)(Mechanized) is a subordinate unit of the 70th Regional Readiness Command in Seattle, Wash. The 321st Engineer Battalion has companies in Boise and Haden, Idaho, and one in Ogden, Utah. The 321st's mission is to conduct route clearance, which consists of hunting for improvised explosive devices.
