Eagle, Idaho -- The governor's March Against Meth began 15 days ago, and already several communities have gotten involved.
Right now, Idaho is ranked sixth in the nation when it comes meth use.
Last week in Boise, there was a town meeting about the growing drug probe lm. And Thursday night, dozens of families gathered in Eagle and Wilder for an evening against meth.
Assistant U.S. District Attorney Monte Stiles spoke to concerned residents at the meeting in Eagle, addressing the meth epidemic Idaho is facing.
"I'd like people to know that they need to know about meth. They need to care. they need to decide what they can do in their homes their communities today on how to combat meth and, in the end, they're going to save children," said Stiles.
Other groups, like Project Patch, Drug Free Idaho and Eagle Kiwanis, also set up booths at the meeting offering their help to anyone in need.
In the meantime, the governor plans to implement an anti-meth advertising campaign in Idaho, similar to the Montana Meth Project.
