Nampa, Idaho -- Just as the Hispanic population is growing in Idaho, so is the new Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
On Wednesday, they made it official with a public introduction. The group believes it's going to gain further momentum in the state.
For 17 years, mixing up margaritas is just part of the service Mauricio Quintero provides at his Acapulco Mexican Restaurant in Caldwell. A current member of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, he recently joined the new Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
"To help the Hispanic community, for that's the main thing, to help Hispanic people," said Quintero.
The new Hispanic Chamber made its introduction Wednesday, raising awareness and its mission, and to encourage and promote the benefits of becoming a member.
"Latino businesses have unique needs. They cater to no only the general population, but obviously to a particular ethnic group," said IHCC President and CEO Sam Byrd.
The only Hispanic Chamber in the state, it will provide assistance to other Idaho cities who want to form their own chapter, especially with a growing Hispanic population.
"We think it's really a need that exists in the community, not only for Latino businesses but for businesses who want to do business with our communities, said Byrd.
Since November, the Hispanic Chamber has been taking steps to grow with nearly 30 members and now an office and a new website.
Quintero knows that has a good financial ring and offers a major advantage of marketing yourself.
"It helps because you're involved in the community and it helps a lot, people know you, said Quintero.
"We hope to have 100 members in the first month to join us," said Quintero.
To give you an idea of how well the chamber has done since November, when they started with five members on the board of directors, they're now up to 14 and are looking to add one more director.
