Boise, Idaho -- Apparently lots of people received new skies and snowboards for Christmas, at least according to Bogus Basin reps who said 5,000 people hit the slopes Wednesday.
The resort is extremely pleased with that number, but it's not a record. However, attendance at Bogus is ahead of where it was last year, even after a delayed opening.
Season pass sales are also going well, with some $14,000 in sales the day after Christmas.
"We've got good crowds each day and the mountain's filling up nicely and I think that, in terms of financial stability right now, things are looking good," said Bogus Basin spokesperson Gretchen Anderson.
In addition to 40 inches of snow on the ground, things will soon be looking brighter as night skiing gets underway Wednesday night.
