Boise, Idaho -- FOX 12 This Morning's Tami Tremblay introduced viewers to local band Bellamy Rose on Thursday, May 21.
The guys of Bellmay Rose believe we can all relate to their song "Troubled Waters."
"It's about trouble in life, trouble on the water, on the river," said Marc Grubert of Bellamy Rose. "Everyone hits a patch of troubled water and they want to get out and on to dry land."
Brian Hoffman, Daniel Reed, Jim Adams, M.K. Rosen, and Marc Grubert explain their style of music as Americana, mixing rock, folk, blue grass, and country.
"It's the universal language of love," said Hoffman.
"It's like hard wired into me and I think into most americans," said Reed. "When you hear it you know where it's going, you can dance to it. It's just familiar."
"Everybody brings their own flavor in, but combined it's unique, and that's what makes it special," said Adams.
"There's a good vibe going on and we've all been playing music for so long that we know when to lay back and really have good musicality when we're playing," said Rosen.
They love playing their original tunes live around the community. However, they admit it can be a task winning over an audience.
"It's more like, 'hey impress me, what are you going to do'," said Grubert. "That's our challenge... we step up and try to do our best. When the crowd turns around on their stool and applauds that's the reward."
That's all the band is asking for, and these guys say they'll continue playing as long as they're having fun, which they predict will be for a very long time.
"Bellamy Rose is definitely here to stay and to conquer the world," said Rosen. "We want to help put Boise on the map even more."
Bellamy Rose has an album out, and is halfway through their next one. The guys have even made an appearance in the film world. Just last month at the Knitting Factory was the release of "Exploring Idaho" which is a Stone and Water film.
You can hear the song "Troubled Waters" by Bellamy Rose in the film. The band hopes to be in future productions. To find out more about Bellamy Rose go to their website: www.bellamyrose.com.
