Boise, Idaho -- A local landscape company is using water gardens to raise money for cancer.
It's for 7-year-old Jayden Bennett of Kuna. He's been diagnosed with osteo sarcoma, a type of cancer that attacks your bones. So Brookside of Idaho hosted tours of water gardens at private homes from Caldwell to Eagle. It costs $15 to see 14 ponds. All money raised goes to Bennett and his family.
"Our grandson had sarcoma cancer several years ago and he's a cancer survivor at this time, happened to be sarcoma cancer. My daughter watches the sarcoma cancer lines and she ran across Jayden out here in Kuna made some contacts with them and it's something we decided to get involved in," said Gary Whiteley, owner of Brookside of Idaho.
"It's such a small amount you know that does such a great cause so it's a good feeling to help out," said Ron Herman who toured the gardens.
If you missed the tours it's not too late to help out Bennett and his family. You can call Whiteley at 208-941-3820 to donate.
