A Delta executive said the carrier would be careful to keep capacity on pace with demand and urged other airlines to do the same.
GameStop Corp., down $1.97 at $21.87
Wal-Mart is offering deals on video games and the Nintendo Wii leading up the holidays, which could undercut GameStop's sales.
Walgreen Co., down $1.17 at $38.20
The drug store operator posted disappointing November sales. Analysts said plans to improve stores and product lines are hurting results.
Newpark Resources Inc., up 51 cents at $3.16
A Raymond James analyst upgraded the company, which treats and disposes of oilfield waste, to "outperform" on prospects of higher profits.
Constellation Brands Inc., down 48 cents at $16.77
A Goldman Sachs analyst downgraded the wine and spirits company to "sell," saying consumers are spending less on alcohol.

Diedrich Coffee Inc., up $1.16 at $35.13
The coffee company is the target of a bidding war between Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. and Peet's Coffee&Tea Inc.
Dyax Corp., up 73 cents at $4.23
It received Food and Drug Administration approval to market Kalbitorfor treatment of the genetic disorder hereditary angioedema.
Santarus Inc., up 37 cents at $4.66
The Food and Drug Administration approved Merck's over-the-counter version of the Santarus prescription heartburn drug Zegerid.
