IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) - The Republican National Committee's former chief lawyer has been sued for civil damages by a woman he pleaded guilty to stalking.
Blake Hall, the RNC's chief legal counsel until quitting in January, was sued Monday in 7th District Court by Allison Chambers and her husband, John Chambers, the Idaho Statesman reported.
The Chambers' lawsuit alleges civil trespass, assault, false imprisonment, civil conspiracy and invasion of privacy.
Hall, who is 56, spent 15 days in jail in November after pleading guilty to misdemeanor stalking.
The couple's complaint also names Matthew Drake, who lives with Hall. Police say Hall and/or Drake left 19 condoms at the Chambers' home this year.
Hall, a former Idaho Republican Party chairman, spent 23 years on the Republican National Committee before quitting last month after his guilty plea. He was also an Idaho State Board of Education trustee until April.
