KTRV Fox 12 Starwood Hotels promotes CFO to chairman

NEW YORK (AP) - Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. said Thursday that its chief financial officer has been promoted to company vice chairman.
Vasant Prabhu, 50, will hold both titles.
Starwood owns or operates more than 960 hotels andresorts in 97 countries under the St. Regis, Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Westin, Four Points by Sheraton, W and Le Meridien brands. It also develops and runs timeshare property.
Company shares added 54 cents to $39.41 in afternoon trading.
