TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - A man accused in a Twin Falls shooting has been arrested in Colorado and is awaiting extradition back to Idaho.
Police in Mesa County apprehended 30-year-old Thomas Trevino Jr. Wednesday. Trevino was charged Tuesday in Twin Falls for aggravated battery for allegedly shooting 24-year-old Jill Gelever.
The Times-News reports that Gelever, of Hagerman, is in intensive care in a Boise hospital and recovering from gunshot injuries.
Trevino was found by police walking along a rural road and is now being held in the Mesa County jail in southwestern Colorado on a $200,000 bond pending his extradition hearing.
Police began investigating the case Monday after a guest at the Comfort Inn just south of the Snake River on U.S. 93 dialed 911.
